Obverse description Black intaglio on a multicolour lithographic underprint. To the left, a large guilloche panel carries the numeral 20, while a circular medallion vignette to the right of centre bears a portrait of Artur da Silva Bernardes, 12th President of Brazil (1922–1926). One or two manuscript signatures appear across the face, alongside printed legends citing Law No. 4635 of 8 January 1923.
