Obverse description Printed in red-brown on white paper, the obverse centres on a large circular guilloche vignette enclosing an oak tree rising from a grassy mound, flanked on each side by large numeral '20' counters with ornate latticework surrounds. The denomination in words appears at lower left in Finnish and Swedish, with the issuer names in both languages flanking the central vignette. Two manuscript facsimile signatures appear below the central design, the serial number and series letter printed in red at lower left and right.

Finland's post-independence banking infrastructure was still finding its footing when this series was issued. The 1922 notes were produced domestically — a deliberate choice by Suomen Pankki to reduce reliance on foreign printers following independence in 1917 and the brutal civil war that followed in 1918.

Pick 63 is not a scarce type in absolute terms, but genuine circulated examples show characteristic wear along the horizontal fold lines, a known weakness of this paper stock.
