| Obverse description | Finely engraved green intaglio vignette with two classical putti at left and right, each holding garlands of fruit and foliage, flanking a central cartouche bearing the Imperial German eagle above the denomination inscription in Gothic script. A grotesque mask with foliate surround occupies the lower centre, and the anti-counterfeiting warning legend appears in a panel at the bottom margin. The title 'REICHS KASSEN SCHEIN' runs across the top in a decorative architectural frieze. |
