Obverse description Teal green note with red overprint, centred on an ornate shield bearing the value, supported by a standing herald draped in a cape charged with the coat of arms of the German Empire and holding a caduceus entwined with vines; a trophy of arms below incorporates an oar, sword, anchor, cornucopia, fish, and foliage. An oak and laurel wreath with ribbons frames the central vignette, while the imperial coat of arms appears in an oval beaded cartouche to the left, surrounded by ornamental scrollwork and vine tendrils.
