| Obverse description | Central field features the heraldic lion of Meissen rampant to the right, resting its forepaws upon a crenellated city gate or tower, representing the arms of the city. Below the central device, a curved exergual line separates the denomination legend '20 MARK'. The date '1921' is divided across the lower field, flanking the intertwined 'KPM'-style crossed swords mark of the Meissen Porcelain Manufactory. The circular legend 'STADT MEISSEN' arcs across the upper field, and the entire design is framed by a raised beaded border. |

| Reverse description | A finely modelled allegorical scene in high relief occupies the central field, depicting a draped seated female figure — symbolising charity or motherly abundance — surrounded by four putti or children who reach toward her bearing sheaves of wheat and clusters of grapes, emblems of sustenance and harvest. The composition is rendered in a classicising style characteristic of Meissen porcelain artistry. A two-part circular legend, separated by cross pattée stops, runs along the periphery and reads '+ TEIL IN DER STUNDE DER NOT + VOM TISCHE DES HERRN DEIN BROT'. The entire design is enclosed within a raised beaded border consistent with the obverse. |
