Reverse description The Prussian-style imperial eagle displayed with wings spread, its head turned to the right, bearing on its breast a crowned escutcheon with the imperial orb. The eagle is surmounted by an elaborate closed imperial crown with mantling, and decorative baroque scrollwork fills the lower field. The denomination 20 MARK appears in the lower exergue, flanked by small five-pointed stars, while the legend DEUTSCHES REICH and the issue year arc around the upper and right periphery, all within a beaded border.
