| Obverse description | Bare-headed right-facing effigy of Friedrich, Prince of Waldeck and Pyrmont, rendered in high relief with finely detailed hair and strong, naturalistic portraiture characteristic of the Wilhelmine era. The truncation of the bust is clean and unadorned. The circular legend FRIEDRICH FÜRST ZU WALDECK UND PYRMONT runs along the periphery, separated from the effigy by a beaded inner border. The mint mark 'A' for the Berlin Mint appears at the base of the design below the bust. |
