背面描述 The heraldic crowned double-headed imperial eagle of the German Empire displayed in the centre of the field, with spread wings, each head facing outward, and a central shield bearing the German imperial arms suspended at the breast, flanked by decorative laurel and oak garlands. The date 1904 appears to the right of the eagle along the inner margin, with DEUTSCHES REICH arching across the upper field. The denomination 20 MARK is inscribed along the lower field, flanked by two small five-pointed stars. The design is bounded by an inner beaded border.

附加信息

Schaumburg-Lippe was among the smallest sovereign states in the German Empire, with a population that never exceeded 50,000 during Georg's reign. Under the imperial coinage law of 1871, even the most minor constituent princes retained the right to strike gold in their own name, provided specifications conformed to the imperial standard — a provision Georg's administration exercised sparingly. The entire mintage across this issue's production window was negligible by any measure, struck at the Berlin mint in small quantities that reflected the principality's scale rather than any monetary ambition.
