Reverse description Crowned Imperial German eagle displayed with spread wings, facing forward, bearing on its breast a shield charged with the imperial orb; the eagle is of the Type III design as used on German gold coinage of the late Wilhelmine period. The legend DEUTSCHES REICH and the date 1905 arc around the upper periphery, while the denomination 20 MARK appears in the lower field flanked by six-pointed stars. The rim is defined by a continuous beaded border.
