| Obverse description | The obverse is printed in dark brown on a salmon-orange guilloche underprint, enclosed within a fine letterpress border of repeating geometric and diamond motifs. The issuing authority 'Stadtgemeinde Augsburg' is set in Gothic blackletter type at the top, flanked by the numeral '20' in each upper corner, with a validity clause and redemption notice in small text beneath. The central denomination legend 'Gutschein über Zwanzig Mark' is rendered in ornate calligraphic blackletter script over a lozenge-shaped guilloche vignette incorporating the Bavarian arms, dated 'Augsburg, am 15. Oktober 1918', with the Stadtmagistrat designation, a manuscript signature of the Oberbürgermeister, and a red serial number at lower right. |
