The denomination "20 Mark" in Gothic blackletter appears at the left and right margins. A large central vignette, enclosed within a rectangular ruled frame, presents a panoramic townscape of Reutlingen with the soaring Gothic spire of the Marienkirche rising above the rooftops against a backdrop of rolling hills. The serial number is printed in red at the top centre of the vignette frame, and the printer's imprint "J. B. Metzler, Stuttgart" appears in small type at the lower right. |
