| Obverse description | Printed on an orange-brown geometric guilloche underprint, the note carries the denomination in large Fraktur blackletter script at centre, above a serif italic legend reading 'Gutschein über'. A red serial number appears below the denomination line, flanked by pale watermark-style underprint numerals '20' and the word 'Mark'. The lower portion contains the redemption conditions in Fraktur text, dated 'Aachen, den 31. Oktober 1918', with two official circular seals at lower left and right and two manuscript signatures below the printed titles of the Oberbürgermeister and the Vorsitzende des Kreisausschusses. The outer border consists of a repeating cartouche frame inscribed with '20 Mark' on all sides. |
