Reverse description Central field features a depiction of the equestrian statue of Oguz Khan, shown in profile facing left atop a rearing horse, rendered in high relief against a plain field. The abbreviation 'TMB', standing for Türkmenistanyň Merkezi Banky (Central Bank of Turkmenistan), appears as the principal legend. The overall design is austere, focusing attention on the monumental equestrian figure as the dominant device.

Additional information

Issued to commemorate Oghuz Khan, the semi-mythological ancestor-figure of the Oghuz Turkic peoples and a central pillar of Turkmen national identity as constructed under the Niyazov and later Berdymukhamedov administrations. Turkmenistan's post-independence cultural program aggressively promoted Oghuz Khan alongside the Ruhnama as founding mythological touchstones, and commemorative gold issues formed part of that broader state-directed heritage project.

The .916 fineness places this squarely in the 22-karat crown gold tradition — the same alloy standard used across much of British and Ottoman imperial coinage for centuries.
