| 备注 |
Monigo was an Italian civilian internment camp located near Treviso, operated under the Ministry of the Interior during the Fascist period. It held foreign nationals and Italian civilians deemed politically or ethnically suspect — Slovenes, Croats, Jews, and anti-Fascist detainees among them. The camp's internal currency was a practical measure to prevent inmates from accumulating Italian lira, controlling what they could purchase and from whom.
The handstamp is the only security feature, which tells you something about the production circumstances. These were functional objects made quickly, not printed instruments. Survival rates are low — most camp scrip was destroyed, lost, or simply disintegrated.
