Obverse description The obverse displays the arms of San Marino: three stylized ostrich plumes rising from a crenellated parapet, symbolizing the three towers of Mount Titano, surmounted by a royal crown at the top of the field. The denomination L.20 appears within a rectangular cartouche at the bottom of the field, flanked by decorative scroll elements. The engraver's signatures E. SAROLDI and A.M. INC. are inscribed on either side of the parapet. The circular legend REPVBBLICA DI S. MARINO runs along the upper periphery, while the mint mark R and a fasces device appear at the base below the cartouche. The coin is bordered by a beaded inner circle.
