| Opschrift voorzijde | TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ REPUBLIC OF TURKEY 2013 20 Türk Lirası |
| Beschrijving keerzijde | The central field displays a large, stylized calligraphic inscription '80.yıl' (80th anniversary) in an ornate cursive script, superimposed over a finely engraved geometric arabesque background. Small star devices flank the numerals within the design. The inner field is enclosed by a twisted rope border. The circumferential legend reads 'TÜRK HAVA YOLLARI'NIN KURULUŞ YILDÖNÜMÜ' (Anniversary of the Establishment of Turkish Airlines). At the base of the border, the founding year '1933' and the anniversary year '2013' appear flanking the Turkish Airlines crane logo. |

| Aanvullende informatie |
Turkey issued this commemorative in 2013 to mark the 80th anniversary of Turkish Airlines, founded in 1933 as Devlet Hava Yolları with a fleet of five aircraft. The airline's founding predates the Istanbul Atatürk Airport itself — the carrier was operating before its primary hub existed in any modern sense.
