Opmerkingen

Turkey's Central Bank Law was comprehensively revised in 1955 and again in the early 1960s, but the Emission Law of 1930 continued to appear on banknote face text well into the following decades — a legal formality retained for continuity rather than any meaningful connection to the original statute. The three-signature format on this series required the simultaneous authentication of the Governor, a Deputy Governor, and a member of the Board of Auditors, a practice that made rapid replacement printing administratively cumbersome.

This particular denomination was phased out of the Series I lineup as inflation began compressing the practical utility of the 20 Lira note through the late 1960s.
