| Obverse description | The central field features a high-relief reproduction of the tughra (imperial monogram) of Osman Gazi, rendered in Arabic calligraphy against a textured stone-like background, evoking the appearance of an historical seal or stamp. The tughra is presented within an irregular medallion form, faithfully reproducing its archaic Ottoman design. Surrounding the central device, a wide polished border carries the bilingual legend 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' arcing along the left and 'REPUBLIC OF TURKEY' along the right, separated at the top by the Turkish crescent and star emblem. The denomination '20 Türk Lirası' and the date '2020', accompanied by the Turkish State Mint mark, appear in the lower portion of the border. |
