Obverse description Central field depicts a stylized Hittite ceremonial scene derived from ancient relief art, showing a helmeted deity or king figure with arms raised, flanked by two robed attendant figures and two spiral-topped columns, all surmounted by a large winged solar disc with a central rosette motif. The composition evokes the iconography of Hittite bronze cult standards. The circular legend reads 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' to the left and 'REPUBLIC OF TURKEY' to the right, separated at the top by the Turkish crescent-and-star emblem. The date '2015' and denomination '20 Türk Lirası' appear in the lower portion of the field, with the Turkish State Mint mark below the date.

Reverse description The reverse depicts the Lion Gate (Aslanlı Kapı) of the ancient Hittite capital Hattusa, rendered in detailed relief. Two monumental stone lion sculptures with open, roaring jaws flank the central archway of the gate, their bodies integrated into the massive orthostatic masonry blocks characteristic of Hittite fortification architecture. The upper arc of the field features a radial arrangement of Hittite hieroglyphic cartouche plaques fanning outward like rays. The legend 'HATTUŞA' arcs across the upper central field in a stylized script evoking ancient inscription styles, with 'ASLANLI KAPI' inscribed below it. A small engraver's mark appears at the lower right of the field.
