| Obverse description | A detailed architectural rendering of the Haji Bektash Veli Complex (Hacıbektaş Dergâhı) occupies the central field, depicted in three-quarter perspective showing the stone-built tekke with its characteristic conical-roofed türbe and pitched roof sections with arched portal entrances. The Turkish crescent and star emblem appears in the upper field above the complex. The legend TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ arcs along the upper border, while the denomination 20 Türk Lirası and the bilingual legend REPUBLIC OF TURKEY are inscribed in the lower field, flanked by decorative dots; the date 2021 and the Darphane mint mark appear centrally above the denomination. |

He is depicted wearing a distinctive tall tapered dervish tac (crown), a traditional Bektashi headpiece, with a full beard and robes rendered in fine frosted detail. The legend HACI BEKTAŞ VELİ arcs along the left border and ÖLÜMÜNÜN 750. YILI along the right border, commemorating the 750th anniversary of his death. The birth and death years 1209–1271 are inscribed in the lower exergue. |
