Obverse description The obverse features a large crescent moon motif overlaid on a detailed skyline of contemporary Istanbul buildings rendered in the lower field, juxtaposed with ruins of a historic stone tower to the left, evoking the passage of time from 1915 to 2015. At the centre of the crescent, set against a mirror-polished field, appears a multi-line quotation in Turkish attributed to Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, surmounted by his facsimile signature. The Turkish star-and-crescent emblem appears at the top of the border. The bilingual peripheral legend reads 'TÜRKİYE CUMHURİYETİ' to the left and 'REPUBLIC OF TURKEY' to the right, with the denomination '20 Türk Lirası' inscribed along the lower rim. The mint mark and year '2015' appear in the lower centre of the inner field.

Reverse description The reverse presents a boldly sculpted peace dove in high relief, depicted in full flight with wings dramatically outstretched, carrying an olive branch in its beak. Beneath the dove, the map outline of the Gallipoli Peninsula is rendered in frosted relief against the mirror-polished field, symbolising the theatre of the 1915 campaign. The inscription 'GALLIPOLI' appears vertically along the left field, while 'GELİBOLU' is inscribed vertically along the right field. The commemorative dates '1915-2015' are positioned along the lower rim, marking the centenary of the Battle of Gallipoli. The composition masterfully contrasts the motifs of war and peace through the interplay of frosted and mirror surfaces.
