Reverse description Central depiction of the celebrated Alexander Sarcophagus (İskender Lahiti), a masterpiece of late 4th-century BC Hellenistic funerary sculpture, shown in three-quarter perspective with its characteristic ridge roof adorned with lion protomes and acanthus finials. The long face of the sarcophagus exhibits richly detailed high-relief battle and hunting scenes with multiple figures in dynamic combat. The surrounding legend arching along the upper field reads TÜRKİYE'DEKİ İLK MÜZENİN KURULUŞUNUN 125. YILI, while the lower legend İSKENDER LAHİTİ is inscribed in bold letters across the base of the field.
