背面描述 The royal crown of the Kingdom of Greece depicted in fine detail at center, featuring a beaded band, foliate arches, and a cross surmounting the orb. The circular Greek legend occupies the upper portion of the field, while the denomination in Greek characters and the date appear in two lines below the crown. A small mint mark letter appears beneath the date. The design is enclosed by a toothed border.

附加信息

Pattern coinage for Greece in 1869 was produced in Paris as the young kingdom worked to stabilize its monetary system following accession to the Latin Monetary Union in 1868. KM#E8 is an essai strike, almost certainly produced in very limited numbers for official presentation or ministerial approval rather than any circulation consideration. Greece's coin production during George I's reign was contracted almost entirely to the Paris Mint, and patterns from this period rarely escaped official channels.
