The P#100 series ran for a full decade with minimal design revision, an unusually long uninterrupted print run for a Honduran issue of this denomination. Oberthur's contract covered successive dated printings through the period, all on paper substrate despite the regional trend toward polymer for mid-range denominations that accelerated after 2010.
Honduras held out on polymer longer than several Central American neighbors, a budgetary decision as much as a technical one.
