| 背面描述 | A European Bison (Wisent, Bison bonasus) is depicted in left profile, standing prominently in the central field amid grasses and beneath a canopy of deciduous trees rendered in detailed relief. The forest undergrowth and grass tufts in the lower right are highlighted with applied green coloring, evoking the natural habitat of the Białowieża primeval forest. The legend BIAŁOWIESKI PARK NARODOWY is inscribed in two lines, arcing along the left rim and continuing along the lower field. |

The Białowieża Forest straddles the border between Poland and Belarus and is among the last and largest remnants of primeval temperate forest in Europe. Malawi's decision to issue a coin honoring it is purely commercial — the Reserve Bank of Malawi became a prolific producer of foreign-themed collector silver in the 2000s, licensing imagery with no geographic or historical connection to the country. These issues were minted for the European collector market, with Malawi's name lending legal-tender status to what is functionally a bullion souvenir.
