| Obverse description | Central field dominated by the elaborate tughra (imperial monogram) of Sultan Abdülmecid I, rendered in finely detailed calligraphic relief with characteristic sweeping vertical strokes (tuğ) and interlaced horizontal loops (beyze). A small floral spray with rosette buds appears to the right of the tughra. The inner field is enclosed within a distinctive scalloped or polylobed border composed of alternating crescent-shaped arcs and small rosette ornaments, interspersed with six-pointed stars throughout. The regnal year notation appears in Arabic numerals at the base of the tughra. The outer rim features a continuous beaded or rope-twist border. |
