Reverse description The reverse, designed by Niels Motzfeldt, depicts two traditional Greenlandic Inuit watercraft: the kayak, a single-person hunting vessel used by the Inuit for seal hunting for nearly 4,000 years, and the umiak (konebåd), a large open rowing boat traditionally paddled by women and used for whaling and coastal transportation. The vessels are rendered in stylised relief against a plain field. The denomination 20 KRONER and the dual legend KAJAK KONEBÅD appear in Latin script, distributed across the reverse field.
