| Reverse description | Central device features the elaborate Royal Danish coat of arms, comprising a quartered shield displaying the three crowned lions passant with hearts of Denmark, two lions for Schleswig, a ram for the Faroe Islands, a polar bear for Greenland, and two lions for the ancient Duchy of Holstein, all surmounted by a royal crown. The shield is encircled by a decorative wreath of intertwined laurel branches. The commemorative dates 1972 and 2012 flank the central device vertically on left and right respectively, with the inscription 14. JANUAR arcing across the top of the field and the denomination 20 KRONER displayed prominently along the lower rim. |
