| Obverse description | Unadorned right-facing effigy of King Harald V occupies the central field, rendered in high relief with finely detailed facial features and close-cropped hair. The circumferential legend reads HARALD V · NORGES KONGE, distributed along the upper periphery in spaced capital letters. The date 2014 appears in the lower field, flanked on either side by the Royal Norwegian Mint mintmark — a stylised crossed hammer device — which also separates the numerals. The portrait was engraved by Ingrid Austlid Rise in a restrained, contemporary style characteristic of modern Scandinavian coinage. |
