| Descrizione del rovescio | The reverse displays the elaborate quartered arms of the Archbishopric of Salzburg, surmounted by a princely hat above a processional cross, flanked on either side by the tasselled cords of a galero, the broad-brimmed ecclesiastical hat, whose six rows of tassels hang symmetrically at left and right. The quartered shield incorporates the traditional Salzburg arms. The denomination numeral 20 appears at the base of the shield, with the date 17-70 divided at either side below, all set within a plain field bordered by a toothed rim. |

Sigismund von Schrattenbach served as Prince-Archbishop of Salzburg from 1753 until his death in December 1771, making this 1770 strike one of his final issues. He is remembered in musical history chiefly as Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's first employer — a relationship that was, by most accounts, mutually tolerable if not enthusiastic. The archbishopric maintained its own mint at Salzburg with considerable autonomy, issuing coins on an independent footing that outlasted many contemporary ecclesiastical minting privileges.
The KM#410.1 and 410.2 varieties are distinguished by minor die differences, a common feature of Salzburg's late-period silver production.
