Obverse description Bare-headed right-facing bust of Maximilian I Joseph, King of Bavaria, rendered in high relief with finely detailed curly hair. The portrait is unadorned and classical in style, consistent with early 19th-century neoclassical engraving. The circular legend surrounds the effigy along the entire periphery, with a small pellet stop near the lower right field. The coin's broad flat rim frames the design with a milled edge border.
