| Obverse description | Draped bust of Empress Maria Theresa facing right, her hair elaborately curled and dressed, set within an open wreath of laurel and palm branches tied at the base with a ribbon bow. The legend encircles the effigy along the periphery, reading M THERESIA D G R IMP GE HU BO REG, divided across the upper and lower fields by the wreath. The portrait is rendered in a refined baroque style characteristic of mid-18th century Habsburg coinage. |
