Obverse description Laureate bust of Emperor Joseph II facing right, rendered in the neoclassical style. The emperor is depicted with a draped and cuirassed shoulder, consistent with imperial portraiture of the period. A mint mark appears below the truncation. The encircling legend reads IOS II D G ROM IMP S A GER HUNG BOH REX, an abbreviation for Josephus II Dei Gratia Romanorum Imperator Semper Augustus Germaniae Hungariae Bohemiaeque Rex.

Reverse description A crowned double-headed Imperial eagle displayed, with wings spread, bearing on its breast an escutcheon combining the arms of Austria and Lorraine. Below the eagle, a rectangular frame encloses the numeral XX denoting the face value of 20 Kreuzer, flanked by the date. The surrounding legend reads ARCH AVST D B LOTH M D HETR, abbreviating Archidux Austriae Dux Burgundiae Lotharingiae Magnus Dux Hetruriae. On variants KM#2068.2, a small lion appears within the eagle's breast shield.
