| Obverse description | Central field displays a crowned oval bipartite shield bearing the arms of the Bishopric of Fulda — per pale, with the cross of Fulda on the dexter side and a rampant lion on the sinister side — flanked symmetrically by upswept palm branches. The numeral '20' appears in an ornamental cartouche at the base of the shield, flanked by the initials N and D. The circumferential legend reads AD NORMAM CONVENTION, referencing the Conventionsthaler monetary standard, and runs from lower left to upper right around the periphery of the coin. |
