Obverse description Central shield of arms displaying the Nassau lion rampant to sinister on a horizontally lined field, surmounted by a ducal crown with elaborate ornamentation. The denomination numeral '20' appears in the exergue below the shield. A circular Latin legend surrounds the design, reading 'HERZ. NASSAUISCHE CONVENT. MÜNZ.' The overall composition is rendered in a neoclassical style typical of early 19th-century German States coinage.

Reverse description A four-line inscription within the field, reading '60 / EINE / FEINE / MARK' with the date '1809' incorporated in the legend, the whole enclosed within a wreath of oak leaves and acorns. A mint official's initial appears below the wreath in the exergue. The design is spare and typographically formal, consistent with German States Conventionsthaler coinage of the Napoleonic era.
