| Obverse description | Laureate and draped bust of Emperor Franz I facing right, with a laurel wreath tied at the nape by ribbons falling onto the truncation. The effigy is rendered in a classicizing neoclassical style engraved by Johann Daniel Böhm. A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait along the rim. The mint mark 'A' (Vienna) appears at the base of the bust truncation. The field is flat and unadorned, focusing all attention on the imperial portrait. |
