A circular Latin legend surrounds the portrait, reading FRANC LUD D G EP BAM & WIR S R I P F O DUX G, attesting to his titles as Bishop of Bamberg and Würzburg and Prince of the Holy Roman Empire. | Opis rewersu | Central quartered coat of arms of the Bishopric of Würzburg, displaying the traditional Franconian rake and the Erthal family arms, surmounted by a princely electoral hat. The shield is supported on either side by elaborate mantling or palm fronds, with crossed swords behind the escutcheon, emblematic of the bishop's secular authority. The denomination numeral 20 appears in an oval cartouche at the base of the design. The circular legend 60 EINE FEINE MARK, flanking the date year, records the coin's fineness standard of 60 pieces to the Cologne Mark. Mint master initials appear in the lower field flanking the central cartouche, and the entire design is enclosed within a dentilated border. |
