| Obverse description | Right-facing draped bust of Ferdinand III, Grand Duke of Tuscany and Archduke of Austria, rendered in classical portrait style with fine facial detail. The effigy is positioned centrally within the field, with the legend commencing at 12 o'clock and running clockwise around the periphery. The abbreviated Latin inscription identifies the ruler by his titles as Royal Prince of Hungary and Bohemia, Archduke of Austria, and Duke of Salzburg. The portrait is executed in the refined neoclassical manner characteristic of early nineteenth-century Austrian coinage. |
