| Obverse description | Central field displays the crowned imperial double-headed eagle of Nuremberg, its wings displayed, flanked by two ornate baroque cartouches bearing the city's heraldic arms — the left shield charged with an eagle and the right with diagonal barry fessées. The date 1769 is divided across the upper field on either side of the eagle's crown. The denomination indicator 'S.20 R.' appears in the lower exergual area. The circumferential legend MONETA NOVA REIPVBL.NORIMBERG. runs along the outer border in Latin capitals. |
