| Obverse description | Central field features the shield of Bern — a diagonally striped escutcheon bearing the rampant Bernese bear — set within an elaborate baroque cartouche with foliate scrollwork. The denomination 'CR 20' appears at the base of the cartouche, below the shield. A continuous Latin legend encircles the design along the rim, reading MONETA REIPVBLICAE BERNENSIS. |
