| Reverse description | The reverse bears a facing portrait of Milan Rastislav Štefánik, the Slovak astronomer, general, and co-founder of Czechoslovakia, depicted in his French military uniform and peaked officer's cap with decorative band. The effigy is rendered in a naturalistic, low-relief style and dominates the central field. The peripheral legend '· M. R. ŠTEFÁNIK ·' arcs across the upper portion of the coin, flanked by ornamental dots, while the birth year '· 1880 ·' appears to the left and the death year '· 1919 ·' to the right of the portrait. The denomination '20 Kč' is inscribed at the lower centre of the field, with the engraver's initial 'V' (for Vladimír Oppl) visible beneath it. |
