| Obverse description | Imperial Russian double-headed eagle displayed with wings spread, each head crowned with a small imperial crown, the whole surmounted by a larger central imperial crown bearing a cross at its apex. The eagle's breast carries a shield depicting St. George and the Dragon. The talons clutch a sceptre and orb crossed below the body, from which two decorative ribbon-like scrolls extend to either side. The mintmaster's initials appear centrally below the eagle, flanked by the date in Cyrillic characters reading across the lower field: '1831 ГОДА.' |
