The eagle's breast bears a quartered shield with the coats of arms of the Russian territories. The talons clutch a sceptre to the left and an orb to the right. Reverse description Within a wreath of laurel to the left and oak to the right, tied at the base with a ribbon bow, the denomination '20' appears in large numerals at the top of the field, flanked by a six-pointed star on each side, with the Cyrillic legend 'КОПѢЕКЪ' below. A decorative ornamental divider separates the denomination from the date '1859' in the lower field, beneath which the St. Petersburg Mint mark 'С.П.Б.' is inscribed.
