| Obverse description | At left, the small State Emblem of Ukraine (trident) appears in the field. At center, a depiction of a sriblyanyk — among the earliest coins struck in the Kievan Rus state — is rendered in selective gold gilding. Below the sriblyanyk, a stylized cartographic representation of ancient Kyiv and its surrounding territories is shown, also with selective gilding, with the names of early Slavic and Baltic tribal peoples inscribed around its perimeter.
