| 裏面の説明 | Within an inner beaded circle, the central composition depicts the iconic Ukrainian folk-art figure of Cossack Mamay, shown seated cross-legged in the Turkish manner, dressed in a richly fur-trimmed coat, smoking a long pipe and playing the bandura. Surrounding him are traditional Cossack attributes: a saddled horse tethered to a lance thrust into the ground and bearing a small pennant, a green oak tree from which a sabre hangs, a pistol, a stone powder flask, a tall Turkish-style hat, and a bottle of okovyta (Ukrainian vodka). Along the outer circumference, the legend КОЗАК МАМАЙ arcs to the left and ЛИЦАР ВОЛІ І ЧЕСТІ arcs to the right, separated above by the lance pennant and below by a stylized viburnum spray. |
