| Obverse description | The obverse is set in a decorative floral border of vine and berry motifs rendered in letterpress, enclosing a block of Gothic Fraktur text across the full face of the note. A large ornamental initial capital introduces the issuing authority's declaration, stating that the Marktkommune Weitersfelden issues this Notgeld by resolution of 12 June 1920 for a total amount of 15,000 Kronen, pledging its entire assets as guarantee for redemption. The validity date "Giltig bis 31. Dezember 1920" and the anti-counterfeiting warning "Nachahmung wird bestraft" appear in the lower portion, followed by the manuscript signature of the Bürgermeister. |
