| Opmerkingen |
Spitz an der Donau issued this Heller notgeld during Austria's post-war small-change famine, when coin metal was still being absorbed into reparations accounting and the national treasury had no interest in supplying rural municipalities with fractional currency. Local market towns across the Wachau printed their own, and Spitz produced several distinct types — the "Mitter Arnsdorf" designation identifying this as one of the locality-specific variants within the series rather than a general municipal issue.
The Jaksch Pick 6IIc classification places this in a later subtype, suggesting at least one reissue or plate revision preceded it.
