Beschrijving voorzijde Printed in violet on white paper, the obverse is dominated by a central allegorical vignette of a seated female figure holding tools of industry, flanked by foliate branches, evoking themes of labour and prosperity. Large black numeral '20' appears in circular cartouches at upper left and right, each inscribed 'HELLER' around the circumference. Vertical side panels carry the motto 'DURCH ARBEIT ZUR WOHLFAHRT!' at left and the redemption clause at right, all within a decorative guilloche border.

Opmerkingen

Traisen is a small market town in Lower Austria, and this 20 Heller note is a product of the notgeld wave that swept Austrian municipalities between 1920 and 1922, when chronic coin shortages — caused by wartime metal hoarding and postwar monetary disruption — forced local governments to print their own small-change substitutes. Gemeinde Traisen had no particular printing infrastructure, and most Austrian municipal notgeld of this type was produced by regional commercial printers under straightforward contracts.

The Jaksc reference places this firmly in the catalogued Austrian series, though condition survivorship varies sharply across the smaller issuing communities.
