| 备注 |
Thalgau is a small market town in the Flachgau district of Salzburg province, and this 20 Heller note is one of its Notgeld emissions from the postwar period when coin shortages made even the smallest denominations impossible to source through normal channels. The Austrian state was in no position to supply adequate small change in 1920 — the old imperial monetary system had collapsed with the Habsburg state, and the new republican government was managing a hyperinflationary spiral that would only worsen through 1922.
E. u. K. Müller was a Salzburg printing house that handled a number of regional Notgeld commissions during this period, keeping production local rather than routing orders through Vienna.
