| Obverse description | The note is divided into three vertical panels with a dark letterpress border. The central panel carries a circular vignette of a panoramic townscape with a church tower and mountain backdrop, signed by the designer E. Deutsch at the lower edge, flanked below by two signature lines for the Finanzreferent and the Bürgermeister. The left panel bears a municipal seal within an ornamental roundel above the year 1267, the word 'Notgeld', the redemption notice 'Einlösungstermin bis 31. Dez. 1920', and the denomination '20 Heller'; the right panel mirrors this layout with a heraldic eagle roundel above the year 1334, 'Notgeld', the anti-counterfeiting warning 'Nachahmung wird bestraft!', and the denomination '20 Heller'. The issuer's name 'Marktgemeinde St. Veit a.d. Gölsen' runs across the top in Gothic script. |
